Overview

Founded in 2016, Beyond Arctic is a photography-led tour company operating in Rovaniemi, Levi and Pyhä-Luosto. Its guides are working photographers, and the tours are designed around getting good images rather than covering maximum distance.

The review profile is excellent and consistent: about 900 Tripadvisor reviews and close to 500 Google reviews, both at 4.8, plus Travelers' Choice awards in five different years.

What the night is like

Groups are capped at eight. Your guide sets up compositions, helps with your own camera settings if you want, and delivers edited photos after the tour.

There are “no tight schedules”: if the lights come out late, the group waits. But the tour won't drive into Sweden to escape clouds.
