Book Lapland review
Unlimited-distance aurora hunts with meteorologist support and professional photos, from a budget group bus to fully private 4×4 chases.
Rovaniemi city centre (also Levi & Saariselkä)

Our verdict
For most visitors Book Lapland is the safest single booking in Rovaniemi: a guarantee that is backed by an unlimited chase radius, professional photos and the biggest review base in town — at a starting price that undercuts most rivals.
Overview
Book Lapland is a Rovaniemi-based operator whose core business is aurora hunting. Its guides are mostly born and raised in Lapland, and the company runs tours out of Rovaniemi as well as Levi (Kittilä) and Saariselkä. Beyond aurora tours it sells husky, reindeer and snowmobile safaris, holiday packages and accommodation, including the glass-roofed SkyView Igloo Resort.
What sets Book Lapland apart on paper is the combination of three things most competitors only offer one or two of: a genuinely low entry price, an unlimited-distance chase on the premium tours (guides will cross into Sweden when the Finnish sky is clouded over), and a written money-back guarantee. The company says its unlimited-distance tours succeed more than 95% of the time.
Review volume is the other headline. Across Tripadvisor, Google and Trustmary the company shows well over 13,000 reviews averaging 4.8–4.9 out of 5 — by some distance the largest review base of any aurora specialist we looked at.

What the night is like
Pick-up is from hotels within roughly 10 km of the city centre. Before departure, the guiding team checks cloud cover, solar wind data and the KP index, and coordinates with a meteorologist; the guides then work as one network, sharing live sightings between vehicles.
On the Premium Small-Group tour (max 8 guests) there is no fixed route and no clock: you stay out until the lights appear or conditions make it impossible, which can mean anything from 4 to 12 hours. Expect hot drinks and snacks, often a campfire stop, warm overalls on request, and a guide who handles the camera so you can watch the sky. Photos arrive by email after the tour.
The Signature group tour is larger and shorter, but keeps the guarantee and photos — the main trade-off is less flexibility on how far the vehicle can go.
